So my status to the right shows I'm unlocked for now -- on Wednesday morning as I was cleaning up in the shower I noticed a line of irritation where the anatomical ring of the Steelheart met my scrotum on the base. I don't know if it's just that the ring is too small or that the shape is conducive to irritation but I was unlocked all day yesterday (which turned out to be a good/bad thing for play last night, I was allowed to fuck her although left completely denied) and this morning.
I'm back in for a lunch date my wife has since I'll be at home by myself and I didn't want to leave my good behavior up to chance today, but I'm sure it will come off later to allow my skin the maximum opportunity to heal. We'll try switching to the flat ring that came with the Steelheart after a few days of R&R and see if I do better sleeping in it, otherwise it looks like I'll be out for the night and in for the day.
I'm surprised to find that I'm disappointed by that thought -- a lot of the fun and the kink of it all is the inconvenience of having to sleep in the belt too and the fact that with the new Steelheart I may actually go days (longest stretch so far has been 5) without even being able to see my cock. That's really hot. The thought of unlocking every night to sleep seems like a cheat.
I think if the flat ring doesn't work out, we may look into buying a larger ring for it. I tend to be a bit of a grower anyway so maybe thinking that I could get used to a 47mm ring was just wishful thinking on my part.

What if for the time being while you wait skin to heal and a new ring she locks you in the old plastic one you had fixed before this one arrived? This way you're never free.
I suggested that, but we both like the Steelheart more. If the flat ring from the Steelheart gives the same problem I will likely go back in the Curve because we're looking at several weeks before getting anything new from Steelworxx, in terms of both money availability and time it would take to get here.
My suggestion was meant to say:
Maybe she can switch the steelheart for the plastic one for sleeping only, to help save on your skin.
And hey, you could paint the outside of it silver and then use a shiny spray and then you still wouldn't be able to see that cock.
A nice thought... but I'd still be able to see it. The Curve has large vent holes on the top for cleaning ( see http://www.cb-2000.com/images/curve_all.jpg ) so even in a solid color it wouldn't leave much to the imagination :)
We'll give it a few nights unlocked and then try in the Steelheart with the flat ring and see how it goes.
If I know your Princess she'll have it fixed in a jiff! =)
